Metal-core PCBs that pull heat away from LEDs and power components through a thermally conductive dielectric bonded to an aluminum base.
When FR4 cannot shed the heat, aluminum-core boards (MCPCBs) are the answer: the circuit layer sits on a thin, thermally conductive dielectric bonded directly to an aluminum substrate that spreads and sinks heat far more effectively than fiberglass.
Typical applications are LED lighting modules, power converters, motor drives, and automotive lighting: anywhere junction temperature limits product life.
An MCPCB replaces the resin-glass core with aluminum, cutting the thermal path from component to heatsink to a fraction of an FR4 equivalent. With 1 oz copper on the circuit layer, this keeps LED junctions and power semiconductors inside their thermal budgets without exotic cooling.

Single-layer aluminum boards cover most LED and power applications, and single-layer is what we fabricate. Specify dielectric thermal requirements and any countersinks or mounting features in your mechanical layer, and the DFM pipeline will validate them at upload.
Primarily LED lighting, power converters, and automotive/industrial applications where heat from components must be spread and sunk quickly to keep junction temperatures low.
The aluminum base conducts heat far better than FR4's glass-resin core, giving a much shorter thermal path from component to chassis or heatsink. It often removes the need for separate heatsinking.
